Because it’s nearly Christmas…….

Santa Claus, like all pilots, gets regular visits from the Civil Aviation Authority. The CAA examiner arrived for the pre-Christmas flight check. In preparation, Santa had the elves wash the sled and bathe all the reindeer. Santa got his logbook out and made sure all his paperwork was in order. He knew they would examine all his equipment and put his flying skills to the test.

The examiner walked slowly around the sled. He checked the reindeer harnesses, the landing gear, and Rudolf’s nose. He painstakingly reviewed Santa’s weight and balance calculations for sled’s enormous payload. Finally, they were ready for the checkride. Santa got in and fastened his seatbelt and shoulder harness and checked the compass. Then the examiner hopped in carrying, to Santa’s surprise, a shotgun.

“What’s that for?” asked Santa incredulously.

The examiner winked and said, “I’m not supposed to tell you this ahead of time,” as he leaned over to whisper in Santa’s ear, “but you’re gonna lose an engine on takeoff.”

Now I’m a man that doesn’t mind the odd bit of cheesy pop ke$ha could be described a guilty pleasure of mine as she - although annoyingly cheesy has a certain ‘Je ne sais quoi’ and also nice on the eye.

But nothing since Daphne and Celeste (great vid here of them getting bottled at reading : http://www.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3D_hnxies4Wtk ) has been more cheesy and annoying than this mornings above discovery!!

This I think has been concocted by bielzebub himself and no doubt she will have airplay as its the kind of song that radios love to stick on and have popgasm’s about!!

He has inspired me into blogging about how recently I’ve lost the Facebook feeling!!

I’ve been a long time Facebook user and early into using it I was updating statuses and throwing sheep at people like it was going out of fashion, but over time them feelings have began to wain as I’ve started to see that its no longer the big shiny internet based toy that I was coaxed by a friend to join up and enjoyed a lot for a while and still like now a little!!

But for a while now I’ve been getting generally tired of it, words I never thought I would say!! Plus de-activation has come to mind once too!! I think personally its because of the reasons below

No1 : Facebook is in my mind getting more and more up its own arse in the terms of people on it who are jumping and stamping on comments more and more recently that don’t agree with their mindset therefore putting peoples backs up and then stating facebook is a place of free speech when chastising in return is total hypocrisy in my eyes!!

No2 : Facebook has been a bit of a moanfest for a while now every little minute detail of peoples sorrow is broadcast with OTT detail for maximum reaction from friends to provide as much sympathy as they feel they need

(I’m guilty of posting reactionary comments of things that have peed me off, but not airing my dirty laundry for all to see)

No 3 : This one carries on from the last a little and regards the terrible natural disaster in Japan care to to guess how many of my 181 Facebook friends posted anything about Japan? 181? 150? 100? 50? No not any of them only just 10 people!! It amazed me its like it never happened in the land of Facebook!!

But it is a double edged sword for me Facebook!! There is a reason why I may never cut the cord with Facebook, the main one being its a fantastic way of keeping in touch with my family and good friends around the world and some here in my own back yard. I think the most I would go to with Facebook is putting it on the back burner as really there isn’t any other social network like it for keeping in touch with family and friends

As of late Facebook has become my funny Twitter tweets posting place with hardly any personally written statuses!! But to be honest there are times I am quiet on both Facebook and Twitter and times when I’m never off both but that usually means I’m less busy and have time on my hands to post all the time!!

I’m now starting to blog too so hey presto I’m might be turning my attention to my blog more!!

Well I’ve gone and done it!! I’ve set up a tumblr as I thought its the best way to ‘blog’ its going to be my thoughts and rants of the world about me.

I must say if your reading the likes of @rawr_imapanda, @_iamjules and @teenybella’s blogs and many others that I can’t think of at the mo on twitter you all made an impression on me to see that the mad things I think about and even mundane everyday things can be blogged and not be boring so I’ve thought I’ll give it a go!!
